Get the latest updated Amazon’s Small, Light and Extra Large program!
On Monday, Amazon announced two changes that will impact sellers using its FBA fulfillment services. The company is adding another storage type for “extra large” items and changing its Small & Light program as well! Starting April 18th 2022 extra-large can be chosen instead of oversize in order to better serve customers who need larger space capacities when shipping their products.
Inventory that used to be considered extra-large will now qualify for a more spacious storage type! This is great news because it means you can manage your inventory and quantity limits better.

Even though the company announced that they would be increasing storage fees for sellers who have extra large inventories, it still provided some insight into how this affects you as an individual seller. To see which items from your current inventory qualify as “extra-large” go ahead and look at what’s listed under Monthly Storage Fee Reports.
Amazon also announced a change to its Small and Light program on Monday:
“We’re pleased to tell you that FBA Small and Light will increase the price threshold for eligible products from $8 to $10, effective April 28, 2022.
“This change allows more of your products to become eligible for the program and receive fulfillment discounts. Other program eligibility requirements, such as weight limits and product dimensions, will remain the same.

The Amazon Small and Light program is changing! Starting now, you can purchase any product from a list of eligible items at just $10 per item. That means that if your order was under the previous price point before this update – say for example something under 8 dollars- then it will no longer qualify as being “small” but rather substantial enough in size to require fulfillment by an additional fee region called FBA (fulfillment BY ADDRESS). The good news? There’s still lots more where those came from when looking into getting started.
